You have to get serious about taking care of yourself.

You have to get serious about managing your stress, and you have to get serious about managing the people in your life that constantly pull on your soul. Because the one thing you can’t get back once it’s gone, is your health. Most of the time we focus on physical health, aches and pains, we focus on diet and we focus on exercise. The truth is, that’s not the extent of it, the mind and soul needs just as much care as the body and in some cases more. It’s been proven that you can actual change your health or improve your health, if you can

improve your attitude, state of mind and your spirit.

There are people who are suffering from ailments but have worked on healing their mind, and their body followed. So here we are, Entrepreneurs, Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Cousins and Uncles and we hustle and bustle all day long and we allow things to enter our space, we see things, we hear things and we think that stuff bounces off of us but the truth is, it doesn’t. Psychologically speaking, you are taking in things into your spirit, into your soul, that are playing on you. Some of these things are positive but a lot of them are negative. So what happens is, it chips away at your inner peace. Chips away at your inner serenity and you start to feel certain things, and those feelings start to affect how you behave.

There’s a great book called “Emotional Intelligence”, it highlights the 6 different types of intelligence, and emotional intelligence is the strongest of all the types of intelligence. Just like any other type of intelligence, you can develop it.

So over years what has chipped away at you emotionally, will eventually manifest into physical. I would encourage you not to allow life and people with circumstances and situations to chip away at your emotional health, your mental health. It’s very very challenging thing to get back if you lose it.

Here’s a couple of things that you can do to start working on it.

#1. Start your day without gadgets. Start the first 5-10 minutes of your day without scrolling through Facebook or social media. But what you can do is shift that into something else like listening to music, but not necessarily something with words but just with instruments or something motivational but shift how you begin your day. Do something that feeds your soul.

#2. Focus on being more grateful. When was the last time you counted your blessings? Take a few

minutes and have outward gratitude and just let yourself feel it.

#3. Reach out to someone on some level, and add something to their life. One of the best ways to get over a depressed state is to go serve or help someone. Finds ways that you can enrich someone else’s life. Find someone that can’t possibly pay you back even if they wanted too and do something for somebody else.

  • Work to get the people out of your life that deplete your energy and rob you of your joy.

  • Don’t be so materialistic. Don’t be so focus on money that you forget to live. A lot of people make a living but they don’t make a life. Take time to smell the roses.

  • There’s power to having inner peace.
